Core Yoga

As the name suggests, Core Yoga focuses on strengthening the core of your body which helps to prevent and ease back and neck problems. Made up not only of your abdominal muscles, but also your lower back and pelvic floor, core muscles work to stabilise the entire body. Core Yoga helps to build your stability, strength and flexibility through deep core yoga stretches and exercises.

MEDIUM INTENSITY:

Gentle Yoga

Suitable for beginners, this style of yoga is far less strenuous than other forms of yoga. Gentle Yoga is beneficial to participants who are already quite fit but lack the overall flexibility to be able to do more intense yoga poses. Gentle Yoga accomplishes its goals of providing a workout without putting any unnecessary strain on you.

LOW INTENSITY:

Hatha Flow

A combined version of Hatha-meets-Vinyasa. Using beautiful flow sequences with longer holding patterns, Hatha Flow involves sets of postures to align your skin, muscles and bone, and allow energy to flow freely through your body. Try it to embrace its beauty.

LOW INTENSITY:

Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga consists of a series of yoga poses and breathing exercises done in a heated room at 37 degrees. The postures are designed to systematically cleanse every part of the body and to provide a complete mind/body workout. The heated room promotes sweating which helps rid toxins from the body while loosening and stretching the muscles to prevent injuries. Hot Yoga improves circulation, increases metabolism, regulates digestion, strengthens the immune system and burns fat.

A motivating yoga-based workout with elements of Tai Chi and Pilates, set to music. Bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves coupled with controlled breathing and concentration. MEDIUM INTENSITY:

Pilates

Intensity, focus and precision…words to describe this stability and postural corrective programme.
A mat-based Pilates class works the core muscle of the body, including the deeper muscle of the abdominals, back, shoulder blades and buttocks. The Pilates exercise stretches and strengthens your muscles in a non-impactful, controlled manner.

LOW INTENSITY:

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a gentle class that focuses on stretching poses that help you de-stress, relax, and heal your body and mind. Poses are held for several minutes to allow your muscles to relax deeply and are supported by props such as blocks and straps.

LOW INTENSITY:

Vinyasa Yoga

A style of hatha yoga whereby poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. Unlike many styles of yoga, Vinyasa doesn’t have a fixed system of movements. The practice is dynamic and a Vinyasa yoga class include a range of standing, seated and supine poses, twists, balancing postures, forward folds, inversions, back bends and targeted core strengthening.

MEDIUM INTENSITY:

Yoga Stretch

A total-body stretching class which includes all major and minor muscle groups. Yoga Stretch is designed to improve overall flexibility and balance. You can expect gentle stretching to enhance a greater range of movements.

LOW INTENSITY:

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy adapts and applies yoga techniques and practices to help those who face health challenges at any level to manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality and improve mental outlook. Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners.

LOW INTENSITY:

Yoga Flow

A combination of mediation, breath-work and energising yoga sequences. Poses flow seamlessly from one to another in sequence, connecting one posture to the next using the breath. Breathing exercises are an important component in this class. You will guided to move from one pose to the next with mindful inhalation and exhalation in a choregraphed sequence.

Our Yoga Classes

Our rules and booking procedures help make classes a great experience for all members.

  • You can make class bookings via phone, in person at the centre reception, or via the App/Online Booking System.
  • To avoid any delays, do have your membership ID ready when making phone bookings.
  • Online class bookings will close 2 Hours before the class commences.
  • This rule will not apply if the booking is for the same club.
  • If you booked a class at HarbourFront Centre which ends at 1pm, you will not be allowed to book another class starting at 1:30pm at Great World City.
  • If your second class is also at HarbourFront Centre, your booking will be allowed.
  • When a vacancy is available, an email will be sent to all members on the same online waiting list for that class. The first member who acknowledges the email will be given the slot.
  • No email will be sent to inform members that the said vacancy has been taken up.
  • Online waiting list will expire 2 hours before class commences. After which members may want to join the Walk-in Queue at the reception.
  • Otherwise, this will be considered as a No-show and your slot will be given to someone on the waiting list.
  • Class ticket can be printed at the reception if you have a valid class booking 2.5 hour prior to the class commencement time.
  • Class ticket cannot be printed if a class has already commenced.
  • In the unfortunate event that you lose your class ticket, you can obtain a reprint at the reception.
  • Reprinted ticket will have "Reprint" indicated on the class ticket.
  • Please ensure that you have collected the right ticket displaying your name and class details, especially during peak hours.
  • Members are reminded that they will be liable for a penalty fine of SGD$25 if they are absent from 3 of the classes that have booked.
  • The company reserves the rights to cancel, change the class type or instructor without prior notice.
  • Free trial
