Before discovering Yoga, Marcus was a member of the Hong Kong National Rowing Squad, representing Hong Kong in numerous International rowing regattas in the 90’s.
Marcus tried various styles of yoga, such as Vinyasa and Ashtanga. Hot Yoga caught his interest – specifically the 90-minute class with 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, which he akins to a self-discovery exercise. He enjoyed the flow, vitality and calmness experienced during and after each hot yoga session. His yoga practice eventually improved his flexibility and balance, and relieved his lower back, sciatica and knee pain.
Marcus’ belief in the hot yoga practice pushed him to receive his Teacher certification in 2007. Since then, he has taught in Kuala Lumpur, South Korea, and now at True Group in Singapore. He feels blessed to be able to share his yoga journey with his students and witness their improvements through their dedication and patience.
